We sit down with [Lindsay Droz](https://www.linkedin.com/in/lindsaydroz/) and [Kristi Lord](https://www.linkedin.com/in/kristilord/), Co-Founders of [L'AVANT Collective](https://www.linkedin.com/company/lavantcollective/), a company redefining luxury in the natural cleaning space. They share how personal motivation, health concerns, and a commitment to aesthetics sparked the creation of their brand. From balancing entrepreneurial grit with family life to championing collaboration among female founders, Lindsay and Kristi guide us through the origins ofL'AVANT Collective, lessons from partnership, and what true fulfillment looks like in business and life.
Key Takeaways:
- 00:00 Introduction
- 01:42 L'AVANT is born from a desire to build something purposeful.
- 04:21 Launched in 2021 with help from Shopify and independent partners.
- 07:36 Customer love fuels them; a strong co-founder softens the lows.
- 10:31 Strong partnerships start with self-awareness and complementary skills.
- 12:16 One plus one equals four; partnerships thrive by complementing each other.
- 14:33 Female founders grow by collaborating and lifting each other up.
- 16:15 For women, the mental load at home remains; true balance doesn’t exist.
- 18:53 Discomfort drives growth — and that’s what fuels happiness.
> “Entrepreneurship is not for the faint of heart because you have to waver through those motions and still be in a steady state as you’re building a team.”
