I’ve spent almost 30 years servicing clients in the financial services industry. As a CSA here at Planning Alternatives, my role is to always be looking for ways to enhance the client experience. I personally value amazing service: efficiency and knowledge mixed with compassion and commitment. Being able to provide outstanding service to our clients brings me joy.
Memorable client moment
A few years ago, I assisted a 59-year-old client who was in the end stages of terminal cancer. She was very concerned about consolidating several of her outside 401K and other brokerage accounts. She had let this go for many years and with her diagnosis, realized the urgency. It was highly important for her that the adult children in their early 20's not be overwhelmed and to inherit the assets with the least amount of difficulty. On several occasions, I met at her home to assist with calls to obtain the outside forms needed and notarizing required documents. I was able to assure our client and her family the process was complete, and within a month, she passed. This experience was difficult, yet memorable, for me as I formed a new appreciation for planning and saw how much peace and serenity it brought to this woman and her family.
To me, true wealth means
My grandfather Papa Joe used to say: "I may not be wealthy, but I'm the richest man in the world.” He lived life to its fullest and he knew as an elderly man that he'd done an amazing job instilling in his family the values of love, forgiveness, strong work ethic, and a commitment to be our best self with inner peace. So true wealth to me is not just financial security, but to carry on the same values to my children and hopefully future grandchildren. I hope to be as rich as Papa Joe.
Let’s connect.
We’d love to talk about what you and your family need and how we can help.
