Before joining Planning Alternatives, I served clients at Oakland Wealth Management, a Registered Investment Advisor firm. Prior to that I began my career at American Express Financial Advisors (now Ameriprise Financial), where I developed a passion for helping people with their financial needs. Upon joining Planning Alternatives, I initially held roles as both Client Service Administrator and Director of Operations. While I appreciated the operational aspects, my heart was drawn to client service. I enjoy learning about our clients, their families, and their passions and feel privileged to be a part of their life journey.
My personal struggle with divorce led me to become a Certified Financial Divorce Analyst® professional. As a single mother before the age of 30, I reclaimed control over my finances, enabling a better life for my son and myself. Now, I aim to educate and empower others, helping them recognize their own strength and ability to create a brighter future.
Memorable client moment
I recently assisted a client who thought he had lost control of assets because they were titled in his late wife’s trust. His desire to provide for his children, grandchildren, and charitable causes felt hindered. Working closely with his estate planning attorney and CPA, we updated his estate plan and beneficiary designations to align with his wishes. The gratitude he expressed for relieving this burden was incredibly rewarding and served as a reminder of why I love what I do.
